Eco Green Kenya Recognition

NETFUND recognized and award.

Since 2017, Under Dutch-Sino –East Africa Bamboo Development Programme, INBAR has been closely working with Eco Green in Busia in promoting bamboo resource development across the value chain, this has created a huge positive impact to community livelihoods, environment, climate change mitigation and adaption. From this impact the Government of Kenya under NETFUND recognized and awarded Eco Green as a winner of the NETFUND Green Innovations Award 2021, under the category of attainment of 10% tree cover. NETFUND recognized and awarded outstanding Bamboo initiatives undertaken by Eco Green. The award was presented by Hon Elmi CAS, Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the presence of dignitaries from different sectors including Environment, Transport, Presidential Unit, Academia, research institute, hospitality and tourism, Agriculture, Council of Governors, NGOs and INGOs at Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel Nairobi on 26th February 2021.
